AGL and the Open Invention Network Linux System Definition
The Open Invention Network (OIN) protects the Open Source ecosystem against litigation of software patents. This networked, royalty-free cross-licensing community can be joined by all and is defined by three pillars - the patents that are cross-licensed to participants, the community of licensees, and the field of use that is covered by the cross-licensing agreement. The presentation introduces the OIN Linux System that defines the field of use, the plans for expanding it to cover projects like Automotive Grade Linux, and the possibilities to contribute to its maintenance. The presenter is responsible for OIN’s Linux System Definition.
